Raney Machine Tools supplies a complete range of industrial drill machines, from compact 20mm bench-mount units for small workshops to heavy-duty 40mm pillar and radial configurations for large-scale fabrication. Every machine features 12-speed spindle drive, hardened and ground spindle nose (MT-2 through MT-5), and cast iron construction for rigidity and long service life.

Our range covers radial (all geared and V-belt driven), pillar type, and drilling-cum-tapping configurations. Radial drills extend reach with a swivelling arm. Pillar type machines suit general-purpose hole-making. The drilling-cum-tapping machine adds tapping to the 20mm drill, so holes can be drilled and threaded on the same machine.

12-Speed Spindle Drive

Pillar and V-belt radial machines use 12-step cone pulleys, from 45 RPM (heavy stock removal in 40mm steel) to 3,360 RPM (small diameter, high-speed work). The all geared 40/900-AF radial runs 50 to 1,750 RPM through its gearbox.

We supply three types: radial drill machines (all geared and V-belt driven) for large workpieces where the drill head moves to the work, pillar type drill machines (20mm to 40mm capacity), and a drilling cum tapping machine for drilling and threading on one machine. Seven configurations in total.
A pillar drill has a fixed spindle column; the workpiece moves on the table to align with the drill. A radial drill has a swinging arm that lets the drill head move over the workpiece, making it practical for large, heavy parts that cannot be repositioned easily. Pillar drills suit smaller workshops; radial drills suit fabrication and heavy engineering shops.
Match the drilling capacity to the largest hole you need to drill regularly. A 20mm capacity machine handles most light engineering work. A 25mm to 32mm machine covers medium-duty production. A 40mm machine is for heavy fabrication, flange work, and structural steel. Remember that the rated capacity is for mild steel; harder materials reduce the effective maximum.
It is our 20mm CAP drill machine with tapping added, so you can drill a hole and cut its thread on the same machine. Specifications match the 20mm CAP drill, with a tapping capacity of 12mm in cast iron and 6–8mm in mild steel and stainless steel.
Our drill machines use Morse Taper (MT) shanks: MT-2 on the 20mm models, MT-3 on the 25mm heavy duty model (MT-4 optional), and MT-4 on the 25mm with 15" centre, the 40mm model and both radial drills. This is the industry-standard taper for drill chucks and tooling, so compatible tooling is widely available.
Yes. Our drill machines accept standard tapping attachments for threading operations. The 12 speed steps let you select the correct RPM for the tap diameter and material. Some models include a spindle reverse function for easy tap withdrawal.
All our drill machines operate on 3-phase power supply (standard industrial 415V, 50 Hz in India). Motor ratings range from 1 HP to 2.5 HP depending on the model and drilling capacity. Single-phase models are not available for industrial-grade machines.
