Raney Machine Tools supplies C-frame mechanical power presses in 9 tonnage variants from 5 ton to 200 ton. Every press features adjustable stroke length, safety clutch mechanism, and heavy cast iron construction for reliable, high-volume press work. Bed sizes range from 340x200mm on the 5-ton model to 1,000x700mm on the 200-ton model, with bed-to-ram distance from 160mm to 500mm.
The power presses handle punching, blanking, piercing, bending, forming, and embossing operations across a wide range of sheet metal thicknesses. Strokes per minute range from 82 on the compact 5-ton press down to 30 on the heavy-duty 80-ton and above models, with crank diameters from 51mm to 160mm. Motors range from 0.5 HP to 20 HP to match tonnage and production speed requirements.
For pressing, straightening, bending, and assembly work, our hydraulic presses come in 11 capacities from 5 to 300 ton. Distance between columns runs from 160x400mm to 900x1600mm, stroke from 100mm to 250mm, and motors from 2 HP to 20 HP. Every hydraulic press comes with V-blocks, a pressure gauge, a bed up-down handle, bed resting rods, and an L.N. key; job movement rollers are standard from 60 ton upward.

We supply C-frame mechanical power presses in 9 tonnages (5T, 10T, 20T, 30T, 50T, 80T, 100T, 150T, and 200T, motors 0.5 HP to 20 HP) and hydraulic presses in 11 capacities (5, 15, 25, 40, 60, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, and 300 ton, motors 2 HP to 20 HP).
A power press is mechanical: a motor-driven flywheel and crank move the ram through a fixed cycle, so it is fast and suits repetitive punching, blanking, and piercing. A hydraulic press moves the ram with oil pressure at a controlled speed (3 to 7 mm/sec on our range), which suits pressing, straightening, bending, and assembly work. Tell us the job and we will suggest the right type.
The required tonnage depends on the operation (punching, blanking, bending, forming), the material type and thickness, and the blank size. As a general rule: for punching, multiply the hole perimeter (mm) by the sheet thickness (mm) by the material's shear strength (N/mm2), then convert to tons. Our team can calculate the exact tonnage for your die and workpiece.
Our power presses handle punching, blanking, piercing, bending, forming, embossing, and drawing operations. The specific capability depends on the tonnage, die design, and stroke adjustment. Light presses (5T to 30T) suit small component work; heavy presses (50T to 200T) handle thick materials, large blanks, and deep drawing.
Adjustable stroke lets you set the ram travel distance to match your die and workpiece. A shorter stroke means faster cycling and less wasted motion. Stroke adjustment ranges from 5mm to 152mm across our range. This is set during die setup, not during operation.
Every power press includes a safety clutch mechanism for controlled ram engagement and disengagement. Additional safety guards, two-hand controls, and light curtains can be fitted based on your factory safety requirements and local regulations. We recommend discussing safety requirements during the quotation stage.
Strokes per minute depend on the tonnage: the 5T press runs at 82 strokes/min, the 10T at 72, the 20T at 50, the 30T at 40, and the 50T through 200T models at 30 to 33 strokes/min. Higher tonnage machines cycle slower due to the larger ram mass and stroke length.
Floor space depends on the model. The 5T press weighs approximately 300 kg and needs minimal foundation. The 200T press weighs approximately 8,000 kg and requires a reinforced concrete foundation engineered for the press weight and dynamic loads. We can provide foundation drawings and layout recommendations with your quotation.
Every hydraulic press comes with V-blocks (2 nos.), a pressure gauge, a bed up-down handle, bed resting rods (2 nos.), and an L.N. key. Models from 60 ton upward also get 2 job movement rollers. Optional extras include oil, an electric control panel, a two-speed power pack, a starter, base and upper plates, a heat exchanger, and a pressure holding system.
