Hydraulic Thread Rolling Machines for Fastener Production
Raney Machine Tools supplies hydraulic thread rolling machines for cold thread forming on bolts, studs, screws, and threaded components. Thread rolling produces stronger threads than cutting because the metal grain flows with the thread profile rather than being cut across. The process gives superior surface finish and higher fatigue resistance compared to single-point or die-cut threads.
Our range includes two models: the DI-25 for thread diameters up to 25mm with 8 tons of rolling force, and the DI-40 for diameters up to 40mm with 12 tons of force. Both models support infeed rolling (for defined-length threads) and through feed rolling (for indefinite-length continuous threading). Flat thread rolling dies are used for both modes.
Stronger Threads by Cold Forming
Thread rolling forms threads by displacing metal rather than cutting it. Continuous grain flow produces threads with higher tensile strength, better fatigue resistance, and smoother surface finish than machined threads.
Infeed and Through Feed Modes
Infeed rolls threads of defined length (up to 80mm on DI-25, 100mm on DI-40). Through feed produces continuous threads of indefinite length for long studs and threaded bars.
